Below is a list of common questions we get asked. Hopefully you find the answers to your questions below, but if not feel free to contact us and we will happily answer.
Q. Are you available on our wedding/function date?
A. Hopefully! The best way to check is to contact us with your date, venue, and rough timings. We’ll quickly confirm availability and provide a clear quote. If we’re already booked, we’re always happy to recommend trusted bands of a similar standard.
Q. How far in advance should we book you?
A. Popular dates (especially Saturdays in peak season) can book up 12–18 months in advance. Generally we would advise booking at least 6 months in advance. That said, we do sometimes have availability at shorter notice — even last-minute bookings — so it’s always worth getting in touch.
Q. Do you require a deposit to secure our date?
A. Yes — we ask for a 20% booking deposit. This secures the date exclusively for you and allows us to confidently turn down other enquiries for the same day.
Q. What happens if we need to cancel or move the date?
A. Deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation. If your date changes and we are available for the new date, we will happily transfer the booking wherever possible.
Q. How long do you perform for?
A. Our most popular options are either 2 × 60-minute sets or 3 × 45-minute sets. We’re flexible though — if you have specific timings or a unique schedule, we’re always happy to tailor things to suit your event.
Q. Can we request songs?
A. Absolutely. We love learning new material and are happy to take a limited number of requests. If we feel a song isn’t quite right for the band or the event, we’ll always be honest and help suggest great alternatives.
Q. How do you choose what to play on the night?
A. Our priority is a packed dancefloor and a brilliant atmosphere. We use our experience from over ten tears of playing weddings and events to read the room and choose songs that will keep energy levels high. You’re very welcome to highlight favourites from our repertoire — or let us know any songs you’d prefer us to avoid.
Q. Can you perform our first dance live?
A. Yes — this is always a special moment and something we really enjoy doing. As long as the song suits our lineup and style, we’ll happily perform it live for you.
Q. Do you provide all sound and lighting equipment?
A. Yes — we are fully self-contained. We bring a professional PA system, stage lighting, instruments, and everything needed to deliver a high-quality performance.
Q. Do you need a stage?
A. Not necessarily, but we do require a safe, level performance space large enough for four musicians and equipment.
Q. How long do you need to set up?
A. We typically allow 75–90 minutes for load-in, setup, and soundcheck. We always aim to work efficiently and discreetly around your schedule.
Q. Can you work with sound limiters or play outdoors?
A. Yes — we regularly perform in venues with sound restrictions and at outdoor events. Acoustic drums mean we can’t reduce volume infinitely, but we are very experienced at working within venue guidelines and will do our utmost to not exceed sound limits.
Q. How is your fee calculated?
A. Our fee reflects the total time commitment per musician — including travel, setup, performance time, and pack-down. This ensures transparent, fair pricing with no hidden extras.
Q. Are travel costs included?
A. Yes — all travel is included within your quote.
Q. How can we pay?
A. We accept bank transfer or cash.
Q. Do you charge VAT?
A. No — we are not VAT-registered.
Q. How many musicians are in the band?
A. We perform as a four-piece band.
Q. What happens if a band member is ill?
A. In the rare event this happens, we have a network of trusted professional substitutes. If we ever cannot fulfil the booking (extremely unlikely), we would help source a replacement band and/or ensure you are appropriately refunded.
Q. Can we see reviews or testimonials?
A. Yes — we’re proud to have received fantastic feedback from many couples and event organisers. You can read testimonials on our homepage and Facebook page.
Q. How long have you been performing together?
A. Over ten years — giving us the experience to handle everything from intimate weddings to large corporate events.
Q. Do you take requests during the event?
A. We don’t usually take live requests, as we carefully plan sets to maintain energy and flow. However, if we’re confident we can perform something well, we may occasionally fit it in.
Q. What do you wear?
A. Smart, appropriate attire for the occasion. Weddings tend to be slightly more formal, while parties and corporate events vary.
Q. Are you insured?
A. Yes — we carry full public liability and professional indemnity insurance and can provide certificates on request.
